SELF ID Additional State-Specific Privacy Disclosures

The additional information set forth in this document concerns your rights under applicable state data privacy laws (“State Disclosure” or “Disclosure”), and is an addendum to the SELF ID, Inc. (“SELF”, “we” or “us”) Website Privacy Policy (“Website Privacy Policy” or “Policy”). It addresses obligations that we may have under the California Consumer Protection Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, “CCPA”), Colorado Privacy Act, Connecticut Data Privacy Act, Utah Consumer Privacy Act, and Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act. Further, this Disclosure serves as Notice at Collection under the CCPA.

Please note that, at the time of posting, the aforementioned laws do not apply to us. However, as we are a privacy-oriented company, we volunteer to meet these higher standards prior to the applicability of such laws to a company of our size.

1. Scope of Notice

This Disclosure applies exclusively to the Website, as that is defined in the Privacy Policy.

2. Categories of personal information collected

Over the previous 12 months, the information SELF collects or has collected from you within the scope of this Disclosure falls within the following categories under the CCPA:

  • Identifiers (your name, email address, and phone number);
  • Internet activity through Google Analytics (how you engage with our Website) (see section 6 of our Policy).

3. Categories of personal information disclosed for a business purpose

Over the previous 12 months, the personal information SELF disclosed to third-party service providers within the scope of this Disclosure pursuant to a business purpose fall into the following categories under the CCPA:

  • Identifiers (your name, email address, and phone number);
  • Internet activity through Google Analytics (see section 6 of our Policy).

4. No Sale or Sharing of your personal information

SELF does not sell or share your personal information and has not done so in the previous 12 months.

5. Retention Periods

We retain personal information we collect from you where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so. When we no longer have a legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such data.

6. Additional rights

Depending on the applicable data privacy laws, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal information:

  • The right to know what personal information that we collected about you over the previous 12 months. This applies to the categories of personal information, categories of sources from which we collect personal information and the business or commercial purposes for its collection, the categories of third parties that we disclose your personal information and specific pieces of personal information that we have collected about you.
  • The right to delete personal information that we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions.
  • The right to correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you.

7. CCPA Non-discrimination statement

SELF will not discriminate against any consumer for exercising their rights under the CCPA.

8. Process for exercising your rights

You may exercise your rights under applicable state laws by contacting us through email at privacy@selfid.com. Once we receive your request, we will confirm its validity as required by said applicable state laws. Depending on the nature of your request, we may seek additional information from you as required.

9. Authorized agents

You may elect to use an authorized agent to exercise your rights on your behalf. Any such request by an authorized agent on your behalf must be accompanied by a writing, signed by you as the requesting consumer. To verify the request, we will contact the requesting consumer using the contact information that we maintain.
